Job summary

SkyWest Airlines in Sun Valley, Idaho, is seeking Ramp Agents to load/unload aircraft, operate equipment, and secure baggage handling with strict FAA/TSA compliance.

We require 18+, a valid license, HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather with flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. Wage is $16/hour; both part-time and full-time roles may be available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass FAA, TSA, Port Authority and US Customs clearances.
• Must be able to lift heavy baggage over 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Part-time or full-time positions may be available.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Not a DOT safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aircraft and carts.
• Stack and unstack baggage in aircraft.
• Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment.
• Drive and operate motorized equipment such as conveyors.
• Read and interpret load sheets and baggage tags.
• Escort passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously.
• Ensure compliance with SkyWest and FAA regulations.

Primary Job Duties

• Loading and unloading aircraft and carts
• Stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft
• Completing safety checklists for motorized equipment
• Driving and operating motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belts)
• Reading and interpreting load sheets and checked baggage tags
• Escorting passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously
• Ensuring compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies

Minimum Requirements

We are looking for individuals excited to take on new challenges, especially within the airline industry! SkyWest Ramp Agents come from a wide range of backgrounds, education, interests, and experience.

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Obtain and maintain position-specific clearances include, but are not limited to, FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs clearances
• Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Lift heavy bags over 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions
• Attend four days of Basic Station Training
• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Part-time and full-time positions may be available
• $16 per hour
• This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position
