Job description

Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $18.00/hr

We are looking for full-time seasonal help from May 1st, 2025, to October 31st, 2025, with potential to transition to full-time year-round at the end of the season.

Responsibilities
  • The safe boarding of customers and luggage onto aircraft and monitoring movements of planes while on the ground
  • Communicating with pilots, operations, and ticket agents clearly and concisely
  • Communicating with TSA and local law enforcement concerning flight and passenger security
  • Loading and unloading passengers safely and courteously
  • Accurately marshalling aircraft with proper hand signals
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and hazardous materials handling
  • Clear radio communication with pilots, operations, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of SIDA areas and security protocols for unknown persons
  • Knowledge of firearm procedures
  • Maintaining positive customer relations
  • Safe operation of ground equipment
  • Carrying out de-ice procedures
  • Accurate baggage weight addition
  • Driving passenger shuttle bus if applicable
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Airline work experience preferred
  • Airline reservation system experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license if driving duties are required
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Effective interpersonal interaction
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must embody Cape Air’s MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
