Job summary

Aircraft-Service-International-Group- seeks a ramp agent at Tampa International Airport, FL. The role involves physically loading and unloading cargo, moving baggage between aircraft and cargo zones, and operating ramp equipment at an outdoor, fast-paced airport environment.

You must be 18+, pass a drug test, hold a high school diploma or GED (or have ramp experience), and be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. Uniforms are provided and training is paid.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Must speak/read/write English proficiently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no violations over past 5 years.
  • Must be available to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Must obtain airport badges/seals as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lift/move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage to/from aircraft and between aircraft, terminals and cargo facilities.
  • Operate motorized equipment.
  • Read weight & balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, loading manifests, and routing tags.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Location: Tampa International Airport, Florida

Pay: $16.00/hour

  • $0.50 pay increases at 180 days
  • $0.50 pay increase at 360 days
  • $0.50 increase at 2 years
  • Paid Training

What you will be doing:
  • Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities.
  • Frequent bending, stretching push/pulling, stacking and kneeling in small, confined locations.
  • Operate motorized equipment.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
