Job summary

Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is seeking a Ramp Agent in our Ground Handling Department to load/unload baggage and cargo, service aircraft and operate ramp vehicles in a fast-paced outdoor airport environment.

The successful candidate will complete the Ramp Agent training course; must meet company goals with good communication, teamwork and flexibility. Starting rate $16.25/hour; benefits include paid training, holiday pay, 401(k), vacation and medical/dental.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course.
• Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high-energy environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license, clean record, background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload baggage and cargo.
• Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment.
• Guide and park aircraft.
• De-ice aircraft.
• Perform cabin maintenance tasks.
• Work as a team to provide excellent customer service.

The primary responsibility of the position is baggage handling and servicing aircraft in a fast-paced outdoor airport environment. Ramp Agents are expected to keep both the company goals and customer expectations in mind when completing their daily tasks. The successful candidate will successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course.
