Job summary

Menzies Aviation Denver is seeking a Ramp Agent to load and unload luggage, freight, and cargo from aircraft, and to operate small specialized vehicles on the ramp and at baggage areas.

Position requires heavy lifting, bending and standing with shifts including weekends; a US driver’s license is required and you will undergo pre-employment testing.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
  • Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background check, and employment history.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Unload and load luggage, freight and cargo on/off aircraft.
  • Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles.
  • Read and interpret loading documents and routing tags.
  • Ensure safe operations following health, safety, security standards and government requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

As a Menzies Aviation Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, in the outbound bag room and the baggage claim area. Driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. Position requires: heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling.

  • $21.00/ hr.
  • Full-Time
  • $40.00 Monthly Bus/Train Voucher or Free Airport Parking
What you will be doing
  • Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft
  • Transport (Drive) cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Ensure safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
