Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to help ensure flights stay on schedule by handling cargo and baggage, guiding aircraft, and maintaining loading records. The role offers $17.50 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days for employees in good standing, plus flight benefits.

You will lift cargo, operate equipment, read manifests and tags, and work outdoors in variable weather while meeting safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED, or six months ramp experience.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs continuously.
• Must speak/read/write English proficiently.
• Valid driver's license with no violations in past 5 years.
• Available for variable shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work outdoors in all weather; able to obtain badges/seals as required.
• Prior ramp experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lift/move up to 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on/off aircraft and transport between locations.
• Frequent bending, stretching, pushing/pulling, and working in confined spaces.
• Operate motorized equipment and read loading instructions and tags.
• Maintain accurate records of shipped goods and cargo movements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time diligent Ramp Agent to join our Team. The Ramp Agent plays an important role in ensuring that flights run on time by maintaining detailed records of shipped goods, moving baggage and cargo from aircraft, and guiding aircraft to and from their gates.

Pay: $17.50 Hourly

What you will be doing

• Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching push/pulling, stacking and kneeling in small, confined locations.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• Must have a current drivers license with no violations over the past 5 years
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
• Prior ramp experience a plus.
