Job summary

Raytheon’s Portsmouth, RI site seeks a Principal Reliability Engineer to join the Life Cycle Engineering team. You will develop reliability analyses and maintainability models to ensure products meet safety, reliability, and sustainment goals across the life cycle.

The role requires a STEM degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, DoD security clearance, and onsite work with occasional travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, Failure Analysis and/or Electrical Design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RAM analyses including reliability and maintainability predictions.
• Perform FMECA/FDFI analyses and define RAM requirements.
• Maintain RAM performance metrics (MTBF, MTBCF, Ao) and analyze results.
• Support FRACAS tasks, trend analysis, and failure investigations.
• Track EV and provide status on RAM/FRACAS scope and budget.
