Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety principles, including OSHA requirements and safe equipment design.

  • Own installation, qualification, maintenance, upgrade, and performance of assigned RAM equipment.
  • Develop and maintain equipment procedures, preventive maintenance plans, training materials, and technical documentation.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve tool reliability and uptime.
  • Investigate equipment abnormalities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive equipment matching, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the fab network.

The Real-Time Defect Analysis (RDA) and Metrology organization is passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable data that enables efficient semiconductor manufacturing. We work closely with process and manufacturing partners across the fab network, leveraging advanced equipment, engineering expertise, and innovation to drive operational excellence in a highly collaborative environment.

As a High Volume Manufacturing RAM Hardware Equipment Owner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of fully automated RDA and Metrology tools. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine project management, data analysis, hands-on engineering, and AI-enabled problem solving to improve equipment uptime, prevent failures, and support manufacturing success.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the installation, qualification, maintenance, upgrade, and performance of assigned RDA and Metrology equipment
  • Develop and maintain equipment procedures, preventive maintenance plans, training materials, and technical documentation
  • Partner with suppliers and internal engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve tool reliability and uptime
  • Investigate equipment abnormalities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Drive equipment matching, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the fab network
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering or scientific discipline
  • 2 or more years experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software systems in a semiconductor environment
  • Proficiency in statistics, statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and design of experiments (DOE)
  • Ability to analyze technical data, draw conclusions, and communicate results through technical reports
  • Knowledge of safety principles, including ergonomics, OSHA requirements, and safe equipment design practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting, maintaining, or improving semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple high-priority initiatives through implementation and deployment
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and managing equipment vendor activities
  • Proficiency with engineering problem-solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Fishbone diagrams
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve equipment performance, reliability, and predictive maintenance efforts
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling software
