Job summary

Raley's in Sacramento (Natomas) seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead a distribution center team on-site, overseeing receiving, storage, and shipping operations. You’ll drive daily productivity while upholding safety and quality standards, coaching staff, and coordinating staffing to meet timelines.

You will monitor performance, ensure accurate inventory, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the distribution processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Distribution Center Operations: ensure efficient daily operation of an assigned warehouse department, maintaining productivity, quality, and safety
• Direct and oversee daily receiving, storage, selection, loading, and shipping activities
• Monitor production performance and ensure work is completed accurately within timelines
• Balance workloads and coordinate staffing to maintain efficient operations
• Identify process improvements to boost productivity and service goals
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and support team members through coaching, training, and performance management
• Establish priorities, communicate expectations, and provide ongoing feedback
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and operational policies
• Ensure inventory accuracy and product quality across the supply chain
• Oversee receiving activities and proper entry into warehouse systems
• Verify product quality, temperatures, and rotation

Position Purpose

As a Shift Supervisor in our Distribution Center, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and service standards are achieved. In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise and develop a team responsible for receiving, storing, selecting, loading, and shipping products that support our stores and customers. You will partner closely with warehouse leadership, transportation teams, vendors, and internal business partners to maintain efficient workflows, inventory accuracy, food safety standards, and operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and is passionate about developing high-performing teams. This role is on-site at the Distribution Center in the Natomas area of Sacramento, and final candidate must reside in CA.
