Job Description

We are the locally owned territory of the fastest growing dog training company in the country: Off Leash K9 Training, LLC. This is a demanding and challenging profession. We need someone that is highly driven to establish professional relationships and be successful.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must reside in the Raleigh/Durham or surrounding areas
• Must be willing and able to board at least one dog at your residence for 14 days at a time
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be willing and able to train private lessons for at least 8‑12 hours a week
• Must have a smartphone (iPhone preferred)
• Must have knowledge with basic video editing (iMovie preferred)
• Must have knowledge with social media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
• Must be able to complete a 3‑week training course with us, here in Raleigh/Durham

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Handle and train small and large breeds from puppy to adult in average pet homes
• Work with dogs needing behavior modification from anxiety to aggression
• Understand animal behavior and be able to explain it to pet owners
• Interact with the public in a professional manner
• Teach private lessons
• Work with your board and train program
• Send daily updates to the owner of your board and train(s) – progress report with pic and/or short video clip
• Continue education and increase skills in training, both dogs and humans
• Attend possible PR events in the area when scheduled

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000 – $40,000 per year (minimum for lessons and board and trains). Some employees can earn more by handling additional board and train services or lessons.

Boarding Opportunity: Clients’ dogs can be boarded at $50/night; boarding money goes directly to you.
