About the Authors Guild Foundation:

The Authors Guild Foundation (AGF) is the charitable arm of the Authors Guild, the nation’s oldest and largest professional organization for writers. AGF supports vital advocacy work that defends free expression, fights book bans, and protects authors’ rights, while also producing literary and educational programming for writers and the public.

AGF recently transitioned to Raiser’s Edge NXT and seeks an experienced contractor to help optimize our use of the system during this critical growth phase.

Scope of Work:

The Raiser’s Edge NXT and Database Contractor will work closely with the Development Manager to ensure our database is clean, well-structured, and fully functional. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting data clean-up and deduplication following AGF’s migration to RE NXT
  2. Establishing and documenting best practices for data entry, coding, and workflows
  3. Setting up consistent naming conventions, attributes, and campaign structures
  4. Creating a suite of standardized reports for tracking fundraising performance, donor retention, and event participation
  5. Providing guidance and documentation for database maintenance and staff training

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in database clean-up, reporting, and implementing best practices
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising operations and donor data management
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small team
  • bCRE-Pro - Blackbaud Certification in Raiser's Edge, Professional
