Job summary

Parsec, LLC, a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, seeks a dedicated Railyard Equipment Operator to support safe intermodal rail operations in a Dolton, IL yard. Training will cover ground operations, hostler driving, and potential crane operator duties based on experience and availability.

Requires 18+ years old, valid driver’s license, and ability to work outdoors in all weather. Open shifts include day, swing and overnight; competitive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and forklift/side loader.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting outdoors in all weather.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines for intermodal operations.
• Open availability for day, swing, night, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard trucks (hostler) to move trailers in and out of loading docks.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts, side loaders, and other equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment for safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized rail yard and proper storage of materials.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks and coordinate with railroad staff for timely loading/unloading.
