Job summary

LB Foster Company is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair wayside equipment on customer railroads across North America. The role requires extensive travel, hands-on electrical and mechanical work, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade background preferred.
• 2–5 years of field service, mechanical/electrical/electronic experience required.
• Willingness to travel 75% and pass drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, calibrate, and repair LB Foster wayside equipment on customer railroads.
• Perform safety-aligned field activities and document site records.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel extensively across North America and internationally as needed.
