Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is hiring a Railroad Flagger in El Paso, TX. This full-time position involves coordinating site activities, communicating with dispatch and crews, and leading safety briefings to ensure adherence to railroad safety regulations.

Required are at least 2 years in the rail industry, strong organizational and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 85% of the time. Training and certifications will be completed as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with a Class 1 Railroad or equivalent rail entities.
• Must understand railroad safety rules and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–85% as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities at the job site.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, crews, and contractors.
• Lead safety briefings before work begins.
• Enforce all railroad, state, and federal rules.
• Ensure contractors meet training requirements.
• Spot and address any rule violations.
• Complete daily reports on work activities.
• Maintain on-track safety following federal regulations.
