Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated Conductor/Engineer experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and government regulations.
• Must pass training and required testing.
• Ability to act quickly in emergencies and work independently.
• Valid driver's license with no suspensions in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Terminal Manager for daily duties and rail car movements.
• Perform pre-job and daily inspections of couplings and air hoses for safety defects.
• Operate locomotive or track mobile to shift rail cars.
• Move rail cars safely and efficiently per railroad rules to load/unload.
• Conduct basic facility maintenance such as checking and refilling fluids.
• Fulfill other duties as required by business needs.
