Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating a backhoe in a railroad construction environment.
• Proper pre-start and daily maintenance including lubrication and required documentation.
• Ability to lead a crew and coordinate with other team members when required.
• Travel and weekend work should be expected on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoes and other machinery safely on construction sites.
• Set up heavy equipment and perform required maintenance.
• Grade earth and move materials as directed by plans.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and project needs.
• Locate underground services and review plans to establish work requirements.
• Train others on machine operation as needed.
