Qualifications

• Minimum one year supervisory experience in warranty, production, quality or engineering, or three years mechanical/technical experience with supervision.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with English and metric measurement systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a rail car environment.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to generate reports.
• Read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the site activities for a specific shift.
• Coordinate daily work activities on rail cars delivered to the customer.
• Supervise clerical and technical personnel on their shift.
• Control work hours to maintain the site budget and minimize overtime.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Prepare schedules and coordinate daily activities with customers.
• Audit and submit daily vouchers for personnel under supervision.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by all employees.
• Coordinate shift vendor activities to meet warranty obligations.
