Job summary

PSC Group is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to safely handle heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks while performing repairs. This full-time role offers on-the-job training and a path to a stable career within a safety-focused organization.

Applicants should be 18+, able to pass drug, medical, and background checks, hold a valid driver’s license or TWIC where required, and be fluent in English. On-site attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training is available.
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams.
• Speak, write, read fluent English.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required.
• Previous military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs.
• Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge.
• Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks.
• Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies.
• Ensures AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met.
• Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task.
