Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Railcar Technician I in Morris, IL. The role fixes and maintains tank cars, following current procedures and safety guidelines, including welding and inspections. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, teamwork, and accurate documentation is essential.

Starting rate is $25.48 per hour with shifts 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Must have a high school diploma or GED, welding capability, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and welding abilities.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to work in all types of weather and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain railcars per current procedures.
• Conduct railcar inspections for compliance and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain certifications, including tank car welding, and ensure accurate invoicing and work orders.
