Railcar Repair Technician
Plaquemine, LA

PSC Group is now hiring a full-time Railcar Repair Technician that will work safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks to coordinate and complete all railcar repairs. Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday Day Shift

Pay Range:

Starting pay $21.00 with opportunity for advancement

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints/schematics to perform required repairs
  2. Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut, and gouge
  3. Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
  4. Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean, and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies
  5. Ensures AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards are met
  6. Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task
Job Qualifications:
  1. Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
  2. May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
  3. 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  4. Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  5. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
