Job summary

Trillium Staffing is assisting a local railcar facility in Hastings, NE to find skilled Railcar Repair Technicians. The role requires welding across directions and repairing railcars and tank cars using basic mechanics and hand/power tools.

You will read maintenance instructions, blueprints and manuals, and must pass pre-employment screenings including a background check and drug screen. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Weld and repair railcars and tank cars using basic mechanics, grinding, hand and power tools, plasma cutting, welding torches.
• Read maintenance instructions, blueprints and manuals to guide repairs.
• Wear full-body harness and perform repairs on railcars and inside tanks.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality workmanship and safety.

Job description

Local railcar facility is looking for skilled individuals for Railcar Repair Technician openings in Hastings, NE!

This position requires you to be an experienced welder and able to weld in all directions.

This position will work Monday-Thursday 6:00 A.M-4:30 P.M. with possible overtime. Pay range is $25+/hour based on experience.

All employees are required to wear full-body harness and work on top of railcars and inside tank cars to make repairs using basic mechanics, grinding, hand and power tools, plasma cutting, welding, torches, etc.

• Must be able to read maintenance instructions, blueprints and manuals.
