Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL is a plus or preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect freight cars and components for defects and compliance with industry rules.
• Repair, rebuild and service rolling stock using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.
• Remove and replace defective appliances and components on rolling stock.
• Follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and document work on billing sheets.
• Assist in opening/closing doors, loading/unloading, and performing inspections as needed.
