Road & Rail Services in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Railcar Inspector/Prep to perform cleaning and inspection to prepare railcars for transport.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures.
• Inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors.
• Inspect railcars for damage or fatigue.
• Identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services.
• Remove debris and contaminates using backpack blowers and scraping devices to prevent vehicle damage.
• Maintain accountability and maintenance for all assigned equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required by Management.

Job Title: Railcar Inspector/Prep

Position Summary

As part of an award winning team in the logistics industry, you will perform the essential cleaning and inspection functions necessary to prepare railcars for transport.

Areas of Responsibility

• comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures
• Inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors
• Inspect railcars for damage/fatigue
• Identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services
• Through the use of backpack blowers and various scraping devices remove all debris and other contaminates which could potentially cause vehicle damage
• Maintain accountability and maintenance for all assigned equipment
• Perform housekeeping duties as required by Management
