Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must read and follow directions on work orders.
• Must be willing to work varying shift hours.
• Experience with electrical equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean interiors and exteriors of rail cars using cleaners and solvents.
• Check rail car condition, report defects, and replace lighting as needed.
• Couple/uncouple cars and move rail cars in the yard.
• Service pantographs, wheels, axles, connectors, and other parts of cars.
• Operate and service small trucks, trailers, lawn mowers, edgers, and other equipment.
• Maintain shop facilities and grounds and perform related maintenance.
