Qualifications

• Railcar maintenance experience required.
• Ability to work in varying weather and confined spaces.
• Welding certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and regulatory rules for railroad operations.
• Inspect car components for compliance with standards.
• Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance, including air brakes.
• Repair or replace wheels, couplers, brakes, and related parts.
• Prepare repair and billing documentation; maintain repair records.
• Rerail and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Use jacks, cutting tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
• Inspect load securing in open-top cars; operate forklifts and light cranes.
• Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.
