Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Position Type: Full-Time, Entry Level

Work Schedule:

12 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)

Pay Range:

Starting at $18.00/hour with opportunities for advancement

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Rail Switching Operator:

• Examine track list to determine railcars to be spotted, loaded, or shipped
• Separate inbound railcars and spot for loading/discharge
• Pull and separate loaded railcars for shipping from preloaded cars
• Ensure DOT certification for weight on outbound loads is not exceeded

Chemical Loading Specialist:

• Inspect railcar for mechanical soundness before transfer
• Connect/disconnect loading arm hoses for product transfer
• Check for leaks, weigh railcars, and complete paperwork

Qualifications:

• Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training available
• Valid Driver's License and/or TWIC card may be required depending on location
• Must be 18 or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass drug screen, physical, and background check
• Military experience and ability to follow procedures are a plus
