Job summary

PSC Group in Marshall, TX is seeking full-time Railcar Inspectors to join a safety-first, team-oriented company offering on-the-job training and long-term career stability.

Inspect railcars, review FRA/AAR policies, document findings, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to maintain quality and compliance. Prior experience is preferred but not required; candidates must pass drug screen, background check, and physicals, and have fluent English.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training is available.
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Speak, write, read fluent English
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars and components thoroughly
• Stay updated on FRA, AAR, customer, and company policies
• Ensure workmanship meets quality and regulatory standards
• Interpret drawings, weld, and nondestructive testing symbols
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• Complete Daily JSA and Confined Space Entry Permits
• Document inspections with reports as required
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Notify of needed materials or equipment
• Follow safety rules and maintain clean work areas
• Ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, ARS, and customer standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by Inspection Manager
