Railserve is hiring dependable Rail Switching Technicians in Spiritwood to support daily rail switching operations in an industrial rail environment. This full-time, hands-on role focuses on the safe movement, placement, and organization of railcars to meet customer operations and production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Physically demanding outdoor work.
• Able to lift, carry, and handle equipment.
• Work in varying weather conditions year-round.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move, organize, and secure railcars.
• Operate switches, gates, and hand brakes.
• Couple and uncouple railcars safely.
• Guide locomotive movements using radio and hand signals.
• Monitor track conditions and identify hazards.
• Observe equipment and safety requirements.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and safety rules.
• Wear required protective gear at all times.
• Support daily rail switching operations and customer service needs.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned.
