Railserve in Marysville, OH is hiring dependable, safety-focused Rail Switching Technicians to support daily rail operations at an industrial facility. This entry-level, outdoor, hands-on role requires reliability, safety-mindedness, and a willingness to learn.

You will operate locomotives, assist with switching and movement of railcars, with training provided. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, with a pay rate of $19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect locomotives prior to operation and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Operate locomotive controls such as throttle and air brakes.
• Interpret train orders, signals, and safety rules.
• Assist with switching, placement, and movement of railcars.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE, monitor track conditions.
