Woojin IS America, Inc is seeking an experienced RAMS Engineer to support refurbishment, modernization, and retrofit programs for rail vehicles. The role applies RAMS principles across the lifecycle to meet safety and performance requirements.

You will work withEngineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Project Management, Testing & Commissioning, and Maintenance teams to identify risks, perform analyses (FMEA, FTA, hazard analysis), and develop RAMS documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of RAMS, reliability, systems engineering, or safety engineering experience.
  • Experience applying RAMS methodologies to rail or other safety-critical systems.
  • Proven ability with FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis, and RCA.
  • Understanding MTBF, MTTR, failure rates, and maintainability concepts.
  • Strong technical writing and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RAMS plans, analyses, and reports for refurbishment projects.
  • Translate customer RAMS requirements into engineering specifications.
  • Perform RAMS analyses for rail vehicle systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Support V&V activities and verify RAMS requirements with test results.
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Projects to mitigate risks.
