Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. in the United States is seeking a Commissioning Technician to perform field modifications, installation verification, testing, and commissioning of rail vehicle systems.

The role requires electrical and mechanical expertise to interpret schematics and engineering documents and to execute modifications with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC, read wiring diagrams, and participate in startup, warranty, and field service

Qualifications

• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documents.
• Experience performing field modifications and validating system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Perform field modifications, retrofits, and upgrades on rail vehicles and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical issues.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions.
• Verify proper installation and functionality through testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions per engineering requirements.
• Document work performed, deficiencies, and commissioning results.
• Support startup, commissioning, warranty, and field service activities at customer sites.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality.
