Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 0–3 years of rail/transit design experience, and a path to PE registration within six months.

Qualifications

• Zero to three years of rail or transit design experience.
• Experience with design computations and quantity estimations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract plans, specs, and cost estimates for rail projects.
• Design rail/transit alignment plans and site layouts.
• Perform field investigations and collect design data.
• Prepare design computations and quantity calculations.
• Collaborate with survey, drainage, traffic, structural, and geotechnical teams.
• Inspect rail assets and design repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with utility and permitting agencies.
• Support public outreach and project documentation.
