Job summary

Cando is seeking a Track Maintainer in Crossett, AR to oversee daily rail infrastructure upkeep at the customer site. The role emphasizes safety leadership, team coordination, and hands-on maintenance of tracks and crossings.

The position requires five years in track construction/maintenance with at least two years in a supervisory role, plus a valid driver’s license and FRA-related credentials. Training and a supportive safety culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Five+ years experience in track construction/maintenance.
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Background in engineering, design and construction is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and FRA certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work projects and job briefings.
• Conduct track/switch inspections and repairs with hand tools and equipment.
• Maintain crossings and flangeways; coordinate snow clearing.
• Ensure tools and small machines are kept in good working order.
• Perform job hazard analysis and address hazards promptly.
• Assist site manager in developing short and long-term site goals.
• Lead safety initiatives and mentor staff in safe operations.
• Build strong team relationships and foster a positive atmosphere.
• Coordinate training and development for department staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and FRA guidelines.
