Job summary

Watco is hiring a Track Laborer to help inspect, repair, and maintain railroad track infrastructure. The role is a hands-on, manual labor position requiring safety-focused work and quick learning during the training period.

The successful candidate will assist with loading/unloading rail, inspecting track components, and supporting maintenance of way projects, with opportunities for advancement and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• CDL preferred for this role.
• Must pass and/or obtain all required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, load & unload rail components and track materials.
• Assist with inspection, grinding, and repair of rail and track components.
• Support maintenance of track infrastructure including turnouts and bridges.
• Operate basic equipment such as backhoe/track hoe as needed.
• Follow safety rules, report issues promptly, and adhere to performance metrics.
