Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Railroad Track Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspections on railroad, bridge and highway projects. The role involves field inspections, documenting site conditions, and ensuring compliance with project scope and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma with railroad construction inspection experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass drug screening.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 4 years railroad construction experience or equivalent.
• Proven railroad construction inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass MVR and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and monitor railroad construction activities.
• Gather and document field information, including workforce activities and daily site conditions.
• Record and verify onsite equipment used for force account billing.
• Document materials delivered, installed, and incorporated into the work.
• Inspect track installation activities to verify placement, alignment, and quality standards.
• Maintain detailed daily inspection reports and field documentation of progress.
• Identify and report deficiencies, safety concerns, and schedule impacts to management.
