Energy Transfer in North Dakota is seeking a Rail Operator to safely operate and maintain rail equipment, track, and switches, ensuring the transfer of crude oil and petroleum products in compliance with regulations.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to document inspections, coordinate with other departments, and uphold safety standards on ND assets, with full-time on-site work in Epping.

Qualifications

• Communicate (written and verbal) in English.
• Basic math and PC skills required.
• Knowledge of CFR-DOT regulations for hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of transloading, rail terminal operations, railcar movers/locomotives.
• Familiarity with AAR and FRA standards, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate ND rail assets safely and in compliance with policies.
• Maintain loading equipment and work area cleanliness.
• Perform and document pre/post railcar loading inspections (volumes, weights, seals).
• Connect/disconnect loading equipment and use hand tools safely.
• Enter railcar data into flow computer system accurately.
• Coordinate product movement with other departments to ensure steady flow.
• Stage and secure railcars for inbound/outbound switches and repairs.
• Carry out routine field and facility maintenance as directed.
