Job summary

A rail services company is seeking entry-level workers to join their team at the Union Pacific Dupo, IL Terminal. This role includes operating trucks, handling railcars, and performing ground duties. With a starting pay of $18 per hour and the potential to earn up to $50,000 per year, it offers hands-on training and excellent benefits. No experience is required, but applicants must be 18 and pass a background and physical test.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a valid Driver’s License.
• Able to pass a 7-year background check, drug test, and Physical Capabilities Test.
• No diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a jockey truck to maneuver trailers and containers within the yard.
• Perform ground duties as assigned including handling railcars.
• Assist in loading/unloading equipment with packer operators.

• Operate a jockey truck to maneuver 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis within the yard.
• Perform ground duties including climbing railcars, managing track locks, and handling Inner Box Connectors (IBCs).
• Assist in loading/unloading equipment with packer operators using hand signals.
• Participate in stacking/unstacking chassis and managing chassis racks.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Starting Pay: $18/hr
• Annual Potential: Up to $50,000 with overtime!

Available Shifts

• 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• 1:30 PM – 1:00 AM
