Job summary

PSC Group is hiring for a Rail Switching Technician to operate outdoors in an industrial facility, moving railcars and supporting day-to-day logistics. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork, with paid training and strong advancement potential.

Ideal candidates may have a driver’s license or TWIC card, must be 18+, and be able to pass drug, physical, and background checks. English fluency and reliable on-site attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training available.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on location.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must wear PPE and pass required medical exams.
• Must speak, write, read fluent English.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality required.
• Previous military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews track lists to identify and organize railcars for spotting, separating, loading, or outbound movement
• Ensures railcars are properly connected and secured by setting brakes and verifying couplings
• Separates loaded cars for shipment from preloaded or empty railcars
• Weighs inbound and outbound cars to confirm compliance with weight limits
• Performs additional duties as needed to support safe and efficient rail operations
