Job summary

King County Metro's Rail Division seeks an experienced Rail SCADA Systems Administrator to lead expert-level development, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of Rail SCADA systems. You will provide project leadership, business analysis, and explore new technologies while coordinating with operations and IT teams.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing complex SCADA and communications solutions, ensuring security and reliability, and serving as a technical lead on improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of SCADA and control systems.
• Advanced knowledge of hardware, software, and open protocol systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA data security, backups and disaster recovery.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, development, enhancement, implementation, support, maintenance and repair of complex SCADA and communications systems.
• Train SCADA staff and rail personnel on specialized operational SCADA functionality.
• Research and recommend new hardware and software; develop purchase justifications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems, CCTV and other related systems.
• Maintain health of servers, workstations, switches, and PLCs.
• Develop and update SOPs and best practices.
• Plan and act as project lead for assigned systems.
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment for tasks.
