Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a Contractor in Charge (CIC) to oversee safety and compliance for railroad projects in Omaha, NE.

The CIC will manage field operations, enforce regulatory requirements, and coordinate with rail partners to ensure safe, efficient work on rights-of-way. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to travel 50–85% of the time, with compensation ranging from $28 to $37 per hour and a full benefits package

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability for long-term travel assignments and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee worksite safety and flagging as needed for railroad projects.
• Conduct job briefings and ensure FRA compliance during track operations.
• Monitor track conditions and coordinate train movements with dispatchers.
