Introduction
Are you a student studying transportation planning, engineering technology, program management, transportation engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or construction engineering or possess experience in any of the related fields and are interested in learning what it's like to work for the DOT, Office of Rails with the Connecticut Department of Transportation? The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Rails, is hiring two (2) Rail Operations Seasonal Workers with assignment in New Haven, CT.
THE ROLE
Seasonal Workers will have the opportunity to gain experience of projects and activities for rail transportation involving operations, equipment, construction, maintenance, engineering, capital projects, and finance and administration. The Rail Operations Seasonal Workers will gain valuable real-life work experience, development and advancement of skill sets, exposure to career possibilities within rail transportation, and mentorship as each Seasonal Worker will be paired with a mentor who will include them in current projects, meetings, and day-to-day work life.
