Job summary

Norfolk Southern invites candidates to join the Transportation Operations Management Trainee program in the United States. The six+ month training develops leadership, safety, and rail-operations knowledge while gaining hands-on experience overseeing train operations and frontline crews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field; current college seniors eligible to apply and graduation prior to start date.
• Minimum of four years of leadership experience in military, manufacturing, transportation, or logistics.
• Military personnel with experience in Railway Operations Crewmember, Logistics Specialist, Embarkation Specialist, Traffic Management Apprentice, or Machinery Technician encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee train operations and frontline teams including conductors and locomotive engineers.
• Help ensure safe and efficient movement of freight across the network.
• Participate in structured leadership development and operational efficiency training.
