Job summary

Plastic Express is seeking an experienced Rail Operations Supervisor to manage loadout and washout activities, ensure safe, efficient rail movements, and supervise the rail crew. The role requires experience in rail or refinery settings, strong decision-making, and excellent communication.

Based in Pooler, GA, the position involves coordinating maintenance, inspections, and operational procedures, with four-day rotation shifts and emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Rail and/or refinery experience preferred.
• Must pass Rail King and Rail Systems Training courses.
• Ability to think independently and act in the company’s best interest.
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, long hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loadout & washout operations for hopper cars.
• Coordinate, supervise and maintain loadout, wash and rail equipment.
• Document pellet control surveys and rail inspections.
• Manage railcar loading and washing procedures per ISO/plant procedures.
• Supervise rail crew and contribute to site safety programs.
