Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak is seeking a Material Handler in Knoxville, TN to load/unload material for inbound/outbound trucks and to move, log, organize and catalogue parts for production. You will operate forklift, John Deere payloader, and Trackmobile and ensure accuracy with shipping documents, labels and weight calculations while following safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Forklift and Crane certification preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, pick lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
• Ability to utilize a tape measure down to at least a 1/16th.
• Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material for inbound or outbound trucks.
• Move, log, organize and catalogue material.
• Pull parts and make kits for production areas.
• Coordinate shipment of outgoing finished products.
• Safely operate forklift, John Deere payloader and Trackmobile.
