Job summary

Auto Warehousing Company, a long‑standing leader in finished vehicle logistics, is hiring 5 Full Time Rail Loaders at Marysville. The role involves loading vehicles onto railcars, securing them, and preparing cars for transportation at the Marysville Honda facility.

Work is 100% outdoors, primarily days, Monday through Saturday, with 8–10 hour shifts as loads require. The job requires English literacy, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate in all weather

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to pass safety tests with 80% accuracy.

We are hiring 5 Full Time Rail Loaders for our Marysville location. This position will be primarily days Monday - Saturday 6a to when the loads are done (usually 8-10 hours). This is very physical work and this is 100% outdoors in all weather.

Summary of Position

This position prepares railcars for loading, drives vehicles onto proper railcars, secures vehicles to railcars according to manufacturer and American Association of Railroad standards, and prepares railcars for transportation at the Marysville Honda facility.

Essential Functions, Duties and Tasks

• Drive vehicles onto rail cars
• Secure vehicles on the rail cars using chocks or chains
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Inspect vehicles for damage
• Report damage to lead, supervisor, or manager
• Train new employees and temporary workers
• Maintain a positive behavior and conduct in the workplace while acting and communicating with other customers, vendors, co-workers, and management
• Able to react to change productively

• Ability to work in a variety of situations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to adhere to strict quality standards without variance
• Ability to read and interpret SDS manuals
• Have knowledge of hand tools (i.e., wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, etc.)

Education, Experience, and Minimum Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's license
• Must have a good sense of balance and have the ability to maintain 3 points of contact
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to pass the AWC Safe Driving and Rail Safety tests with a 80% or higher accuracy
• Must be able to working in tight spaces when loading vehicles
• Must be able to work at heights approximately 15 feet above the ground

Preferred Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's license
• Maintain a good driving record
• Ability to drive both manual automatic transmission vehicles

• Ability to work at a height approximately 15 feet above the ground
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
