Job summary

Knorr Brake Company is seeking an HVAC Technician I to perform pre-build inspections and mechanically/electrically assemble HVAC units for rail cars. The role supports safety, quality and compliance with ISO standards in a manufacturing setting.

You will build wiring harnesses, install sub-assemblies, and ensure proper documentation while collaborating with the team. On-site, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to follow approved manufacturing work instructions and ISO guidelines.
• Familiarity with wiring, assembly and testing processes is preferred.
• Ability to operate hand, pneumatic and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-build inspections and note any handling damage prior to assembly.
• Assemble components per drawings, install sub-assemblies, gaskets and wiring harnesses.
• Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects found during build.
• Serialize parts in SAP and support other technicians as needed.
