Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC is seeking a Rail Driver to operate semi-vans, roll-off and dump trailers, ensuring safety and efficiency in handling waste materials. You will follow daily instructions, inspect equipment, and maintain regulatory logs while representing the company professionally to customers.

Required: 1+ years of Class A CDL driving, Tanker/Hazmat endorsements, and strong safety awareness; 3+ years CDL experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of Class A CDL driving experience is required.
• Tanker / Hazmat endorsements are required.
• 3+ years of CDL driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate semi-vans, roll-off trailers and dump trailers as needed.
• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and safe practices.
• Report to dispatchers and move trailers to disposal sites or client yards/facilities.
• Inspect vehicle and equipment, fuel truck, and ensure all equipment is in good order.
• Complete manifests, bill of lading, and other required documents for each load.
• Inspect drums/containers for proper labels and markings.
• Maintain DOT compliance logs and state/federal regulations.
• Transport waste material to customer sites or facilities.
• Represent the company with courtesy to customers.
• Load drums or freight and prepare roll-off boxes and trailers.
• Travel as needed and take on additional duties to support the team.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Rail Driver As a Rail Driver you are responsible for driving and operating semi-vans, roll-off trailers and dump trailers as needed.

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
• Drives and operates semi-vans, roll-off trailers and dump trailers as needed
• Reports to Company Transport designated dispatchers and is provided with daily instructions to move trailers consisting of customers materials, either to a disposal site or client yard / facility
• Prepares for daily trip (prior to driving transportation equipment) by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent operating order
• Completes manifests or bill of lading documents, company issued forms, and other marking and placarding documents for every load managed
• Inspects all drums / containers on loads to ensure they have the proper labels and markings
• Maintains logbook for DOT compliance and State and Federal regulations
• Drives to the customer site to collect waste material and / or transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste material to facility for unloading and disposal
• Acts as Company representative with courtesy towards each customer
• Loads drums or freight and completes lining roll-off boxes and dump trailers
• Maintains the ability to travel as needed
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education
