Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC is seeking a Local Truck Driver to operate roll-off trucks and support local waste management operations. You will ensure safety, complete required paperwork, and coordinate with customers while maintaining DOT compliance.

The role involves local pickups/deliveries with no overnight trips and collaboration within a safety-focused team. Standard qualifications include a High-school diploma and 1+ years of CDL Class B driving experience, with a strong emphasis on safety

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 1+ years of Class B CDL driving experience (required).

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate roll-off trucks, trailers, and vacuum tankers for local pickups/deliveries (no overnight trips).
  • Prepare for daily trips by inspecting vehicle, fueling, and ensuring equipment is in excellent operating order.
  • Complete manifests or bill of lading documents and other company forms; verify loads are secured and properly labeled.
  • Maintain electronic hours of service for DOT compliance and state/federal regulations.
  • Transport loads from customer sites to local hazardous/non-hazardous waste facilities for unloading.
  • Act as company representative with courteous interaction with customers.
  • Load roll-off boxes and operate related equipment; take on additional duties as needed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Local Truck DriverThe Local Truck Driver is responsible for driving and operating roll-off trucks as required.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Drives and operates roll-off trucks, trailers, and vacuum tankers to perform local pickups/deliveries according to daily instruction either to a disposal site or customer yard/facility (no overnight trips)
  • Prior to driving transportation equipment, prepares for daily trip by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent operating order
  • Completes manifests or bill of lading documents, Company-issued forms, and other documents for every load managed; inspects all loads so they are secure and ensures that they have the proper labels and markings
  • Maintains electronic hours of service for DOT compliance and State and Federal regulations
  • Drives from the customer site to local hazardous and non-hazardous waste facility for unloading and disposal
  • Acts as Company representative with courtesy towards every customer
  • Loads roll-off boxes, lines and dumps roll-off boxes
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
