Job summary

Watco Transloading is hiring for an entry level and experienced Conductor role in Donaldsonville, LA. This full-time, hourly position offers paid on-the-job training and a clear path to certification and advancement. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, increasing to $24.50 per hour once certified, with rotating 2-2-3 day schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Conductor Certification testing within a reasonable period.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a TWIC card.
• Willingness to pursue locomotive engineer certification after conductor certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliable attendance and follow safety, company, and customer procedures.
• Read and follow switching instructions; communicate with crew and dispatchers.
• Operate locomotives and position railcars safely and accurately.
• Couple/uncouple railcars, connect air hoses, and operate track switches.
• Monitor tracks and equipment for hazards; report needed repairs.
• Maintain records of railcars moved and destinations.
