Job summary

HDR is seeking a Railroad Bridge EIT/Designer in Missoula, MT. You will apply structural engineering and detailing techniques for bridges, including various bridge types, box culverts, and interchanges for highway and railway projects.

You will perform load calculations, assist with layout and quantity development, and develop details using leading engineering software. A team-focused, employee-owned culture supports growth and project impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or closely related field.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
EIT certificate or progression toward P.E./EIT required for career path.
Experience with bridge/structural design and engineering software.

Responsibilities

Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge design.
Work on projects including steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable bridges, box culverts, and interchanges.
Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
Develop structural details using specialized software and standards.
Support bridge inspection and additional duties as needed.
Collaborate with team and contribute to project delivery.
